The Chappell Group, was contracted to permit the reconfiguration of the golf course at Island Country Club. The proposed project includes the regrading of the 154-acre golf course and the excavation and fill of the existing lakes. TCG provided consulting services for the proposed project, including a preliminary environmental assessment and endangered/threatened species survey, wetland mitigation, and permitting with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE) and South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD).
As a bald eagle nest was located on the property, TCG was also responsible for coordinating with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FFWCC) to ensure that the Bald Eagle Management Guidelines were met.
