In addition to an upland site investigation to determine any potential impacts to natural resources such as mangroves located within the proposed project footprint, The Chappell Group provided a complete benthic resource survey of the submerged bottom within the discharge canal. The Chappell Group provided all the environmental permitting services, including floating dock design, mangrove planter design, construction inspection, and quarterly\/annual site inspections of the mangrove planter. The Chappell Group, Inc. performed these tasks for Broward County from 2005 through February 2009, with all local, state and federal environmental permits for the bridge span and mangrove planter issued in 2009.
