The following positions are available:
Compliance Inspector/Field Biologist
Responsibilities include conducting water quality and turbidity monitoring, manatee observation, and permit compliance inspections and reporting. Position will also require preparing and reviewing environmental resource permit applications, wetland delineations, benthic surveys, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and project management. Salary is dependent on level of relevant experience and skills. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor of Science; 1-2 years of relevant experience; and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be proficient in snorkeling/diving; conducting work in outdoors in terrestrial and aquatic environments in South Florida during all seasons of the year, working on a vessel/barge in all types of weather conditions, and operating a small vessel or kayak, and SCUBA certified (Scientific Diver preferred but not required), and the position may require working on Saturdays.
The following are also desired skills for this position: AutoCAD/GIS capabilities, Report writing, Report Review, and Flora and Fauna Identification and Construction Inspection experience.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours a week, possible Saturdays)
