The Chappell Group was contracted to conduct a marine turtle lighting survey at the subject site to determine if existing lighting meets standards set forth by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) within the Model Lighting Ordinance for Marine Turtle Protection.
TCG was responsible for conducting the lighting survey of the subject site and adjacent beach and preparing a report of the findings for submittal to FDEP, which included site photographs and an aerial exhibit documenting point sources of direct or cumulative illumination. The Chappell Group, Inc. performed these tasks for Village of Sea Ranch Lakes from September 2009 to February 2010.
